Module , PV Module is selected on base of its Power Rating
PV Module rating is generally between 200 W to 450 W.
we take a case of 5HP or 3.73 kW required power
Here we calculate
Ø Area of roof requires to install
Ø Cost of the project ( round around cost)
No of PV module requires :
Rating of PV module is between 200 W to 450
W.
For example we select 200 W PV module 3.73
kW = 3730W
No of PV module = 3730/200 = 18.65 =19
We require 19 no of PV module of 200 W
Solar rooftop calculation of area requires :
Normally area of PV module is about 1.6 sq meter .
We require 19 no of PV module of 200 W
Total area require = 19 * 1.6 = 30.4 sq
meter
We require 30.4 sq meter area for 19 no of PV module of 200 W
Solar rooftop calculation of Cost of the project ( round around cost) :
Before calculating the price i.e. cost, we
need to know how many types of solar system (solar plant) can be installed in a
residential area?
1) On grid
The power generated by this type of solar
plant is connected to the line of the power supply company (for G.E.B. Gujarat)
so that the generated power is deducted from the incoming light bill and the
customer benefits. Is. The estimated cost is 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh (excluding
government subsidy). The cost is reimbursed to the customer in the years to
come.
i.e Suppose if you are going for 5 kW systems = 50,000 per/ kW x 5 + 5 % GST =2,50,000 + 15,000 = INR 2,65,000 INR
i.e Suppose if you are going for 5 kW systems = 50,000 per/ kW x 5 + 5 % GST =2,50,000 + 15,000 = INR 2,65,000 INR
Off-grid is a battery-connected plant there is no
connection with power supply company . Now this plant can be compared to the
inverter we have at home. The solar panel in the off grid manually charges the
battery using the charge controller. And with help of inverter we can get
supply to use at home . The cost will be 30-3 thousand more than on-grid. This
is because the cost of the battery increases in this case.
i.e 5 kW systems = 50.000 per/kW x 5 + 15,000 (with 5 years warranty ) x 8 batteries + 5 % GST = 2,50,000 + 1,20,000 +21,000 = 3,91,000 INR

3) Hybrid system
From the name it is understood that the
benefits of both the above are obtained in this. In addition to the benefits of
light bills, there is no power cut in the customer's home even when there is no
power in the grid. The cost of hybrid inverter will be 10-15 thousand more than
this system of grid.
